Meet the Father of El Paso Children’s Hospital: Dr. Charlie Gutierrez

Dr. Charlie Gutierrez as the father of El Paso Children’s Hospital! Many will remember that until El Paso Children’s opened in February of 2012, El Paso was the largest metropolitan area in the U.S. without a children’s hospital. That changed largely to a group of dedicated parents, physicians and members of the community who wanted a higher level of care for El Paso’s children. It began with Dr. Gutierrez who held the flame for decades until it became the children’s hospital we know today. Dr. Gutierrez is seen here with Cindy Stout, CEO of El Paso Children’s Hospital.
