Kendra Cares Program Hosts 4th Annual Event @ El Paso Children’s Hospital
El Paso Children’s Hospital was excited to celebrate its 4th anniversary of introducing the Kendra Scott, Kendra Cares Program to the borderland on Tuesday, December 5th. The Kendra Cares Program provided pediatric cancer patients and their families the opportunity to create a custom piece of Kendra Scott jewelry for FREE!
The Kendra Cares program is a unique experience that brings the magic of the Color Bar™ by Kendra Scott to pediatric hospitals, allowing patients and their caregivers to design their own piece of customized jewelry at no cost. What started as a monthly program with a single children’s hospital has grown into a creative arts program at over 30 hospitals across the country. Kendra Scott is thrilled to bring joy to pediatric patients and their caregivers in El Paso through the gift of art and jewelry.
“Our Kendra Cares Program gives patients the opportunity to customize a piece of jewelry just like they would, if they came to one of our retail stores,” Iliana Silva Marketing & Philanthropic Manager, Kendra Scott’s representative, said. “They get to design their own jewelry. It allows them to become the designer. They pick out not only the type of jewelry that they want, but they also get to choose the type of stone in a variety of colors.”
Some patients create jewelry for themselves, while others give it to a loved one or a caretaker. Since 2019 the Kendra Cares program has served approximately 400 El Paso Children’s Hospital pediatric patients and caregivers in El Paso, Texas.
