Costco us Helping El Paso Children’s Hospital Change Kids’ Health May 1-31

Local children’s hospitals are on the frontlines when protecting the health of future generations. But they can’t do it alone. Each dollar that Costco and its members raise through Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMN Hospitals) improves kids’ health, allowing them to grow to their full potential.

In May, you can help to change kids’ health for local children’s hospitals through CMN Hospitals during the annual Costco fundraising campaign.

Isabella “Bella” Carrillo, Children’s Miracle Network Miracle Child 2024 At just two months old, Bella experienced her first seizure. She was rushed to the emergency department, and after many procedures and tests, was diagnosed with Epilepsy. Two weeks after being approved to go home, she was admitted to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and soon after, transported to other hospitals in search of answers. One doctor warned that she might not make it to her first birthday. From her diagnosis of Infantile Spasm to intractable epilepsy, cerebral palsy, hip dysplasia, and chronic respiratory failure, Bella has continued to overcome health challenges. Due to the severity of her case, she was transported to numerous hospitals, seeking answers from twelve specialists across different states. Her mom worked closely with her care coordinators to educate, train, and prepare to use all the necessary equipment at home. Today, Bella is 11 years old, and her mom says she is a “warrior.” 

The Costco fundraising campaign runs through May 31, where funds go to local children’s hospitals through CMN Hospitals to directly help kids like Bella. In 2023, Costco employees and members in our community donated more than $48,000 for kids treated at El Paso Children’s Hospital.
